Euhomy IM-007 Review: Trusted Review by Technician in 2025

The Euhomy IM-007 is the answer you need when you need the self-cleaning function in a budget Euhomy countertop ice maker. It looks super close to the Euhomy IM-12 that we all love and share, and I hope this Euhomy IM-007 review will help you figure out if you need it over the Euhomy IM-06 or not.

In Ice Artisan, I only review the ice makers that I had used or repaired. So I can guarantee that:

  • I give you honest review (both pros and cons) of an ice maker. No hidden deal behind the website.
  • I share my technician’s point of view, so I focus not only on the performance, but also the build of an ice maker.
  • I compile an ice maker ranking list (coming soon) so you can compare all ice makers easily.

Euhomy IM-007 Review

PROS

  • Has self-cleaning feature

CONS

  • Not good durability
  • No handle

Euhomy operates under Ningbo Hoome Information Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese company established in 2020 that specializes in cross-border consumer appliances. The founding team brings experience from 2016 in brand building, having developed nearly 10 successful online consumer brands with annual sales reaching 1 billion yuan.

Euhomy IM-007 Review: Price

  • Available to buy now
  • Costs $89 in the U.S market

At the time of review, the Euhomy IM-007 costs $89.99, available through both Euhomy’s official website and major retailers like Amazon. It’s priced competitively in the budget bullet ice maker category, likely to compete against the Silonn SLIM40 and Silonn SLIM33 that the Hong Kong ice maker company made.

Euhomy makes several step-down models too, including basic bullet ice makers without handles. The Euhomy IM-007 was introduced as part of Euhomy’s portable line expansion in the early 2020s, so it isn’t the newest one. You can look for the Euhomy IM-06 at a cheaper price.

Modern countertop bullet ice makers must have the self-cleaning feature, which helps clear the ice debris inside the water line, prolonging the ice maker’s life a lot. The Euhomy IM-007 has this mission, to compete directly against the Frigidaire EFIC117-SS and Igloo ICEBSC26 Pro at the same price.

Euhomy IM-007 Review: Design

The design language of Euhomy’s bullet ice maker line has changed, fairly subtly. The bulky, purely functional bodies of earlier Chinese manufacturers are out, replaced by a more refined but still budget-oriented approach. But the Euhomy IM-007 was an ice maker of the past, so it is very similar to the Euhomy IM-01.

The Euhomy IM-007 measures 11.57 inches deep by 11.42 inches wide by 8.74 inches tall, making it less of a counter-filler compared to some Frigidaire models. In addition, where many budget ice makers feature all-plastic shells, the IM007 has a stainless steel-look finish. The machine’s sides remain plastic, but the overall feel of the device is a net improvement over bare ABS plastic housings.

Overall, the Euhomy IM-007 is a little more toned down over purely utilitarian models, though still more of a function-first design than premium nugget ice makers. That practicality is the integrated carry handle that sits over much of the machine’s width. There doesn’t appear to be much point to it other than portability – such moves can make the machine seem more versatile than it is.

The Euhomy IM-007’s plastic body does have a metallic-look coating beneath the finish, which catches light moderately. It isn’t garish; in fact, the effect will often be muted by the sheer number of fingerprint smudges the surface picks up. Euhomy offers color variations to subdue or enhance this: black, white, silver, pink, red, and gray options are available.

Euhomy IM-007 Review: Build

  • Euhomy has decent durability

Materials analysis reveals why Euhomy achieves its good pricing. The housing consists primarily of ABS plastic with metallic-look coating on select panels, creating the impression of stainless steel without the cost. I’ve tested units where this surface scratches more easily than true steel, and the ice basket uses standard food-grade polypropylene that shows wear after months of use.

But still, it’s 2025 and we should only expect the plastic countertop ice makers from now on. Euhomy has decent durability at best, but the customer service is quite active and quick at response. So far, there is no problem when buying an Euhomy ice maker.

Euhomy IM-007 Review: Performance

Euhomy IM-007 Review: Capacity

  • Produces up to 26 lbs of ice daily
  • Internal storage: 1.2 lbs

The Euhomy IM-007 runs its ice-making cycle efficiently enough for the budget category. General production is good, with a few expected and unexpected quirks. The Euhomy IM-007’s first batch arrives in 6 minutes – not instantaneous, but comparable with the Silonn SLIM01‘s speed. Its 26-pound daily capacity isn’t leading the pack, but keeps pace with the category standard.

Daily production testing reveals the 1.2-liter water tank supports roughly 3-4 ice cycles before requiring manual refill, and the 1.3-pound storage basket holds approximately 45-50 ice bullets before triggering the “ice full” sensor.

Euhomy IM-007 Review

First batch timing sits at nearly 7 minutes consistently across testing cycles, with subsequent batches completing every 6-8 minutes depending on ambient temperature. Hourly production hovers around 9-11 ounces, slightly below the Frigidaire EFIC189‘s tested 11.4-ounce average. The time to fill a basket runs approximately 100-110 minutes, lengthier compared to capacity it produces.

Euhomy IM-007 Review: Ice Quality

  • Bullet ice
  • A bit softer but cloudier than fridge’s ices

Has Euhomy traded budget pricing for premium ice quality? Not really, but parts of it do sound acceptable on paper. It isn’t the Euhomy IM-022 that I will make a full review in the near future, but the bullet ice quality is pretty decent, softer but cloudier than your normal ice.

There’s some reality to face: the Euhomy IM-007 produces functionally identical bullet ice to Silonn, Igloo, and Frigidaire models in the $80-110 range. The hollow cylinder design is standardized across these brands since they use similar freezing mechanisms.

Ice clarity varies significantly based on water quality and ambient conditions. I made an useful article on “How to make clear ice in ice maker?”, and boiled and filtered water can make difference in aesthetic for your end results.

Euhomy IM-007 Review: Energy and Water Consumption

  • Normal water and energy consumption

I wrote an article of “How much electricity does an ice maker use?” to give you a free calculator to find out whether you are spending more on your ice maker or not. Coming back to the efficiency specs, the Euhomy IM-007 delivers acceptable performance for its class. Energy consumption clocks in at 4 kWh per 24 hours of continuous operation, translating to approximately 15.4 kWh per 100 pounds of ice production.

The 170-watt compressor does operate more efficiently than some 200+ watt older models, consuming approximately 30% less power than previous generation ice makers. That’s good for keeping operating costs down, though not revolutionary compared to category peers.

For water consumption, the Euhomy IM-007 uses about 12 gallons of water to make 100 pounds of ice, the same as others. I wrote an article “Does an ice maker use a lot of water?” to explain why you don’t need to worry about the water consumption of a countertop ice maker.

Euhomy IM-007 Review: Noise Level

  • Quiet operation

The Euhomy IM-007 operates at approximately 45-47 decibels during active ice production, comparable to a modern refrigerator’s compressor hum. This positions it in the quieter half of bullet ice makers, below the 48-52dB range of louder models.

Specific noise characteristics include a low-frequency compressor rumble during refrigeration cycles, a subtle water pump sound during filling, and a soft clinking as ice bullets release into the storage basket. The most noticeable sound occurs when ice drops into the basket every 6-8 minutes, creating a brief rattling audible across typical kitchen spaces.

Euhomy IM-007 Review: Features

  • Has self-cleaning feature
  • Add water alert, ice full notification

The Euhomy IM-007 runs a basic feature set compared to premium ice makers. It’s a budget model, the entry-level tier. And the feature selection reflects Euhomy’s positioning: essential functionality only.

The self-cleaning function activates by holding the power button for 5 seconds, running a 15-minute water circulation cycle. I’ve found this adequate for weekly maintenance but not a replacement for monthly vinegar descaling, particularly in hard water areas where mineral buildup accelerates.

The control panel features three indicator lights: power on, ice basket full, and add water. There’s no digital display or advanced controls. The two ice size options select via a dedicated button, though the 1-2mm size difference is barely noticeable in drinks—more a checkbox feature than genuinely useful differentiation.

Verdict

The Euhomy IM-007 delivers acceptable bullet ice production for budget-conscious buyers willing to accept significant trade-offs. Its 6-minute first batch speed and integrated carry handle provide genuine portability advantages for RV trips or patio entertaining. The sub-$100 pricing makes it an accessible entry point for those curious about countertop ice makers.
