Euhomy IM-022 starts at $249 on Amazon for the standard black model with 28 lbs daily capacity and 1.8L water tank. The price makes it similar to the Euhomy IM-16 that shares the same design. However, you can buy the Euhomy IM-022 much cheaper through my link, making it a irresistible purchase.
It is the step up from the Euhomy IM-FM and Euhomy IM-FP, mostly because of its self-cleaning feature. The clear ice is a nice touch, making every drink cold for a longer time. It can be considered as an upgrade over the bullet ice from traditional countertop ice makers, like the Euhomy IM-06.
For those aware of its uncanny resemblance to the IM-16, remember the latter produces nugget ice instead of clear ice, which serves different purposes.

Euhomy IM-022 has a plastic housing design with a transparent polycarbonate viewing window on the top. The machine is 15.6 inches at its tallest point and weighs 21.38 pounds. It also uses an air-cooling system to maintain ice production and comes with standard countertop placement requirements.
The Euhomy IM-022 has a rear-mounted ventilation grille as opposed to side-venting systems that are becoming increasingly common on compact models. Having said that, not all OEMs have mastered efficient rear ventilation yet and therefore Euhomy’s implementation of a traditional rear vent is just as effective and also, dependable. In daily use, the machine maintained consistent cooling as the 6-inch clearance requirement was met, taking me straight to ice production without overheating concerns.
The bottom edge is home to a water drainage port, a power cord exit and rubber stabilizing feet. There’s a control panel on the front edge and LED indicator lights on the top panel. On the left, there’s a water reservoir access point that accepts manual filling or uses melted ice recirculation.
On the top, there’s a transparent window surrounded by a glossy black frame that allows viewing of the ice-making process. But otherwise, the entirety of the top panel has a glossy finish and you will have a hard time keeping it smudge-free. There’s no included cover provided in the box which would offer protection and keep the viewing window clean, though it maintains functionality without one.
In my use, I found the Euhomy IM-022 to be solidly built and quite practical for countertop placement. The glossy finish is in line with the current trend of the home appliance industry but there’s nothing that stands out from the crowd. That is if you don’t consider the transparent top window design to be an identifying feature like I do. A lesson from premium ice maker designs would have given Euhomy a lot of insight about the distinctive aesthetics of commercial crescent ice makers that they could’ve worked upon.
It’s not to say that the Euhomy IM-022 looks cheap. It is practical to use and operate, and the viewing window gives it every bit of functional appeal as it deserves. There’s a certain presence to it when sitting on the counter due to its compact yet substantial form factor, but that also means you get adequate ice production for entertaining or daily use.
Euhomy IM-022 features a 1.8-liter water tank with a transparent viewing panel for monitoring water levels. This gives the machine practical capacity for producing multiple batches before refilling becomes necessary, translating to approximately 4 pounds of ice per tank fill.

The compressor and internal cooling system appear to use residential-grade components similar to competing countertop models in this price range. The plastic water reservoir shows adequate thickness without excessive flexing when filled to the 1.8-liter capacity.
For realistic longevity expectations, I’d estimate 2-3 years of regular use before major component failures become likely, which aligns with industry averages for residential countertop ice makers. Users in hard water areas should consider monthly descaling beyond the auto-clean function to extend operational life.

The machine produces 28 pounds of ice per day, which translates to approximately 1,500 individual crescent ice cubes in a 24-hour period. The first batch of 16 ice cubes completes in 12 minutes from a cold start, with subsequent cycles maintaining 10-15 minute intervals depending on ambient temperature. This production rate positions it in the mid-range for countertop ice makers, though below some competing crescent models.
