Certainly everyone will think of the brand as another Chinese ice maker company, with cheap but low-quality products; however Euhomy will make you reconsider that thought quickly.

The success of the Euhomy IM-06 isn’t one-hit wonder, it is the trial and error of multiple design, from our today Euhomy IM-19, the Euhomy IM-18 and Euhomy IM-10. The Euhomy IM-19 seems to be the countertop ice maker that not many people want to buy, despite it has the same price tag at $89.
For Euhomy budget ice maker, only the design matters. The Euhomy IM-19 isn’t a successful product, so it released with only one color option – black. The same story can be told with the Euhomy IM-10, but the Euhomy IM-19 is the least favorite, with about 35% of the actual sale coming from this model (based on customer reviews’ research).
Perhaps this is a reason for the Euhomy IM-19 frequently going on sale, and I advise you to grab one deal in my website. This ice maker should be down soon, for the Euhomy IM-06 is the only Euhomy portable ice maker candidate for this price range.
The Frigidaire EFIC123-SS is still my top pick for the best budget ice maker, featuring a stainless steel coating for its housing. However, if the Euhomy IM-19 goes below $70 (from my deal), it is about 20% saving from the Frigidaire ice maker.

Measuring 11.61 inches deep, 9.25 inches wide, and 11.41 inches tall, the Euhomy IM-19 maintains a compact footprint suitable for most countertop ice makers. Put it side-by-side with other Euhomy countertop ice makers like the Euhomy IM-10 or Euhomy IM-18, the difference is quite negligible.
It has a handle, somewhat the design priority of Euhomy team for their portable ice makers, and the handle is in the same quality as the Euhomy IM-06. People who love moving their ice makers around will need this handle, because I know many young ladies refuse to touch a steel coating electric appliance, not to say bringing it from places to places.
You might not like the design, and you might argue that the IM-06 is compact enough for your kitchen, and that’s fair. But I still need to point out that the Euhomy IM-19 is nearly identical in size and shape. In fact, both models are smaller than many Frigidaire countertop ice makers, like the Frigidaire EFIC103.
However, as compact as the Euhomy IM-19 is, I find the front control panel a bit hard to access, depending on where it’s placed in the home. For most people who keep the ice maker on a kitchen countertop, the front panel is perfectly fine, and actually more convenient, especially for children.

The Euhomy IM-19 is typical Euhomy countertop ice maker build: the feeling and actual durability are decent. It is light for a small appliance, but the plastic construction feels okay. However, I think the recent release of the Euhomy IM-06 feels much better than this old Euhomy IM-19. From my experience, a Frigidaire or Igloo ice maker is still better.
Customer service for the Euhomy IM-19 is also something to keep in mind—the support chat is handled through Amazon, and it can take up to 24 hours to get a response. There is no physical service center for this countertop ice maker, well, it is a small appliance after all.

One thing that I must warn you that it is false advertising on Amazon to have a capacity of 44 pounds per day, the Euhomy IM-19 is just another Euhomy portable ice maker. It means the Euhomy IM-19 will deliver only 26 pounds of ice per day, and its storage basket can hold approximately 1.3 pounds at any given time. It’s decent for a typical budget ice maker.
The Euhomy IM-19 produces its first batch of 9 bullet-shaped ice cubes in just 6 minutes, matching the speed of the Euhomy IM-06. I find these duos of Euhomy made ice in an exceptional quick time, beating the most of the competition.

Euhomy IM-19 Review: Ice Quality

- A bit softer but cloudier than fridge’s ices
The Euhomy IM-19 produces hollow, bullet-shaped ice cubes that have become increasingly popular for their versatility and quick-chilling aspect. The bullet ice doesn’t stick together easily as the cube ice, so if you forget to take the ice out, it will stay waiting for your next scoop longer.
The Euhomy IM-19 ice is definitely the Euhomy ice quality, being identical 1:1 with the Euhomy IM-06. I find the bullet ice of Euhomy is not as cloudy as Igloo, quite similar to the Frigidaire. However, the ice quality of the Euhomy IM-19 is a bit softer, thus the ice melts faster than normal.
Ice clarity varies significantly based on water quality and ambient conditions. I made an useful article on “How to make clear ice in ice maker?”, and boiled and filtered water can make difference in aesthetic for your end results.

Euhomy IM-19 Review: Energy and Water Consumption

I wrote an article of “How much electricity does an ice maker use?” to give you a free calculator to find out whether you are spending more on your ice maker or not. On paper, the Euhomy IM-19 has a rated power of only 85 watts but I measured my unit to be about 105 watts. It is still better than the Euhomy IM-06, and quite similar to the Frigidaire EFIC121 that I used a lot.
Water consumption is supposed to be normal in this Euhomy IM-19, as I wrote in “Does an ice maker use a lot of water?” To produce 100 pounds of ice, I assume the Euhomy IM-19 needs about 12 gallons of water.

Euhomy IM-19 Review: Noise Level

Being a small and portable ice maker, the Euhomy IM-19 has a quiet operation. I recorded the noise level of this Euhomy IM-19 is about 40 decibels, so it is even quieter than the well-known Euhomy IM-06. For the context, it is the same as the quietest library you can enter.
Unfortunately, I don’t have enough data for customer reviews about this Euhomy IM-19, mostly because this countertop ice maker is a forgotten model. It doesn’t matter, I tested this ice maker for a few months, and it never make strange and loud noise once. You can read my article “Do ice makers make a lot of noise?” to confirm the fact.

Euhomy IM-19 Review: Features

Again, Euhomy false advertised this Euhomy IM-19 to have self-cleaning feature, but it doesn’t have one. Without the convenient feature, you need to disassemble the ice maker manually to clean, which is not an easy task for some people.
Other than that, it is a very simple ice maker with only one button to operate. There are two LED notifications to alert you when ice is full in storage, and when you need to add more water. Just basic countertop ice maker things, nothing special.

Verdict
Being the forgotten model of Euhomy, the Euhomy IM-19 is currently on sale, waiting to be discontinued. As an affordable, decent countertop ice maker with a handle, it could be appealing to you. But still, I think the Igloo ICEB26HN is a better purchase if you really need the handle, and the Frigidaire EFIC123-SS is the best budget ice maker to buy.
