Chinese ice maker company Euhomy has made its latest attempt to make a name for itself in the U.S. It ends up even better than NewAir, as Euhomy is currently the best-selling ice maker brand on Amazon.com, thanks to its good price and convenient design.
Perhaps lowering the price is the best strategy, combining with lots of marketing videos, Euhomy snuck their way into the U.S market, settling the price for a countertop ice maker at $89 – the price of this Euhomy IM-06.
We should thank Euhomy for bringing the new price for a countertop ice maker. Nowadays, American ice maker brands like Igloo and Frigidaire must step down their prices for the budget ice makers, like both how the Frigidaire EFIC117-SS and Igloo ICEBSC26 Pro are about $89, and they both feature the self-cleaning feature that the Euhomy IM-06 lack.

From the first Euhomy IM-01, Euhomy marketing team knew that a good countertop ice maker needs a handle. From the next Euhomy IM-19 and Euhomy IM-18, the company found out that top control board is more favorable. Voila, the Euhomy IM-06.
Design is the only thing that make difference in modern portable ice makers, because everything you can find on the Internet does the same capacity of ice production each day. Knowing that, the Euhomy team made the Euhomy IM-06 to be as similar as a successful Igloo countertop ice maker – the Igloo ICEB26HN. A convenient handle is good for people who want their ice maker to be portable, mostly RV owners and renters. Want to deliver ice to your camping, do you want to touch a metal, big electric appliance like the Frigidaire EFIC117-SS?
The Euhomy IM-06 measures 11.57″(L) x 11.42″(W) x 8.74″(H) and weighs only 13.89 pounds. It is smaller than even my Frigidaire EFIC121, and most of the time, I love that compact design. People who have limit spaces on their kitchen will appreciate the Euhomy IM-06, especially when it’s easy to pick up the ice maker and clean its base.
Most signature countertop ice makers from other brands offer around 4–5 color options and call it a day. But the Euhomy IM-06 comes in 8 different colors, giving everyone a chance to match it with their kitchen décor. It also features a large viewing window, clearly something the company recognized as a selling point and wasn’t shy about highlighting. Honestly, bigger is better here. A smaller window doesn’t help keep the ice frozen any longer, so why not go with the larger, more stylish option?
Finally, I prefer its top control board. When you are using a countertop ice maker many times a day, and with the common countertop in the U.S, yeah, the top control board feels better.

The Euhomy IM-06 is just another plastic countertop ice maker made in China, but for the price, it actually feels solid. Usually, when you buy a no-name countertop ice maker at a low price, the flimsy outer shell is the first thing that makes you want to return it. But that’s not the case here. The Euhomy IM-06 is a well-built appliance, and I can confirm its build quality based on my own experience.
There’s one major drawback with Euhomy ice makers, you can only contact customer service through Amazon. While that’s not necessarily a bad thing (since Amazon’s user experience is arguably better than most manufacturer websites), it can still take time to reach their support team for troubleshooting.
Sadly, this is the budget countertop ice maker market, where even top brands like Igloo don’t offer physical service centers for small appliances. In this landscape, the Euhomy IM-06 stands out as acceptable when it comes to a real, working warranty. That’s something you simply don’t get when buying a random countertop ice maker online.

Euhomy IM-06 Review: Capacity

The Euhomy IM-06 boasts a standard daily ice production capacity of 26 pounds, which is the benchmark for modern countertop ice makers in 2025. I haven’t seen any brand willing to go beyond the usual 9 bullet-shaped ice cubes per cycle, so in terms of output, the IM-06 delivers about the same as any other unit currently available on the market.
What’s truly impressive about the Euhomy IM-06 is its first batch speed—just 6 minutes in my tests. Compared to many Igloo countertop ice makers, like the Igloo ICEBSC26 Pro and Igloo 2, it’s about 30 to 45 seconds faster on average. While that difference might not matter to most people, it’s still a measurable edge worth noting.
The Euhomy IM-06’s internal storage isn’t really that good, storing less ices than its competitors from Frigidaire and Igloo (especially the Igloo ICEB33 that can hold up to 2 pounds). Euhomy aims at delivering ice as quick as possible, not storing ice. I mean, storing ice isn’t the strong point of a countertop ice maker, as you can read in “Do ice makers store ice?”

Euhomy IM-06 Review: Ice Quality

- A bit softer but cloudier than fridge’s ices
The Euhomy IM-06 produces bullet-shaped smooth ice cubes in two selected sizes. These hollow, cylindrical ice cubes have a characteristic bullet or gumdrop shape with a hollow center, formed when water freezes around super-chilled prongs. The hollow design increases surface area, which helps cool drinks quickly but also means the ice melts faster than solid cubes.
Euhomy’s bullet ice quality is fairly average. In my experience, it’s a bit softer than Igloo’s bullet ice and tends to melt faster. That said, the smooth surface of bullet ice is designed to prevent sticking, so removing it from the basket is easy. It’s not a groundbreaking feature, bullet ice makers have been common since around 2013.
Ice clarity varies significantly based on water quality and ambient conditions. I made an useful article on “How to make clear ice in ice maker?”, and boiled and filtered water can make difference in aesthetic for your end results.

The Euhomy IM-06 operates at 170W and consumes approximately 4kWh per 24 hours of operation. This translates to roughly 15.4kWh per 100 pounds of ice production, making it relatively energy-efficient for a countertop ice maker.

The Euhomy IM-06 operates at less than 45dB normal noise level, ensuring a comfortable and quiet environment similar to a working freezer. This noise level is comparable to a quiet library or moderate rainfall, making it suitable for open kitchen layouts or entertainment areas.
For the customer reviews, it seems the Euhomy IM-06 is a quiet countertop ice maker. Guessing from more than 12 thousand reviews, users haven’t raised significant complaints about noise levels. I wrote in “Do ice makers make a lot of noise?” to guarantee the fact for you.

Euhomy IM-06 Review: Features
- Lacks self-cleaning feature

Euhomy straightly removes the ice size adjustment feature, one thing that I don’t bother. Most of the time, I’m too lazy to select ice size. If you someone who wants to customize for each occasion, the Euhomy IM-06 lacks this feature, then you should go for a Frigidaire EFIC121 instead.
What Euhomy doesn’t include for their budget ice maker is the self-cleaning feature, one thing that the company deemed as a premium feature. Lacking the self-cleaning feature will be a trouble for most people in a modern life, when it’s too messy and troublesome to go through cleaning process. The Euhomy IM-06 has notifications to alert you whenever you need to add more water or take ice out. These features are helpful, but they aren’t a selling point, because I can’t find one single countertop ice maker without these features.

Verdict
The Euhomy IM-06 is certainly a product of marketing, but it’s good with a convenient handle that you can enjoy its mobility. It can go head-to-head with the Igloo ICEB26HN, although I still prefer the latter for its self-cleaning feature.
