Euhomy has been quietly building a reputation in the portable ice maker space since establishing their U.S. operations. While they may not have the brand recognition of Frigidaire or GE Appliances, this Chinese manufacturer has focused on delivering practical, affordable ice making solutions for American households.

Euhomy seems poised to dominate the U.S. ice maker market by offering nearly every type of countertop model at budget-friendly prices, competitive enough to challenge even well-established names like Frigidaire and Igloo. At the moment, I can’t even find the old Igloo ICEC33SB from the past 5 years, and if you want clear cube ice for your drinks, you can only choose either Euhomy, NewAir or Frigidaire.
The Euhomy IM-F is a clear ice maker that produces crystal-clear cube ice, comparable to what you’d get from the best clear ice maker I’ve reviewed. It was released on the same day as the Euhomy IM-FP, and both models share the same daily capacity and features. The Euhomy IM-F is the less popular of the two and is priced at $179. However, if you catch a deal through my website, you can get the Euhomy IM-F for up to 35% off.
As a result, the Euhomy IM-F can be considered as the most affordable clear ice maker at the moment, a lot cheaper than the NewAir ClearIce40 that I pick as the best budget clear ice maker. Perhaps there will be a massive upgrade in my list next week.

At 14.1″ x 11″ x 13.7″ and weighing 19.96 pounds, the Euhomy IM-F is slightly larger and heavier than all Euhomy units that I’ve reviewed up until now. It is comparable to the Euhomy IM-FP that I still use for a comprehensive review, and actually, they are very similar. From the shape, color and size, both of them clearly borrow the design from the Frigidaire EFIC452-SS.
Still, the core of an Euhomy countertop ice maker is how compact it is, and the Euhomy IM-F does its best to keep this philosophy. The Euhomy IM-F is suitable for most average American countertop, and the front control board is actually suitable for people who want to install the ice maker in a cabinet.
The Euhomy IM-F features a stainless steel coating, allowing it to compete directly with Frigidaire’s ice makers in both appearance and durability. However, this material limits color variety, so the Euhomy countertop ice maker is only available in a single color option.
Euhomy decided to use the classic small window lid for the Euhomy IM-F, and I bet it was the reason why the Euhomy IM-F isn’t as popular as the big window from the Euhomy IM-FP.

Euhomy IM-F Review: Build
- Euhomy has decent durability
Like most Euhomy countertop ice makers, the Euhomy IM-F has only been on the market for about a year, so there isn’t enough data yet to confidently determine its long-term durability. For my personal experience, the Euhomy IM-F should be a fine ice maker, being made from the very best ice maker factory in China. However, it doesn’t strike me the same quality as the NewAir ClearIce40, and the compressor inside it isn’t the latest as the Euhomy IM-FM, so you should stay away from the product.
I’ve read many positive reviews about Euhomy’s customer service. While they don’t have a physical presence in the U.S., their support team is very responsive and quick to resolve issues, often offering refunds for faulty ice makers without much hassle.

Euhomy IM-F Review: Capacity

With only one day of testing and reviewing the Euhomy IM-F, I haven’t added it to my full database yet. Still, it’s a decent countertop clear ice maker with a daily production capacity of up to 45 pounds. Its internal storage is quite large at 2.2 pounds. If you tend to forget about your ice maker, keep in mind that the IM-F can hold a decent amount of ice at a time, which can keep up with its practical daily output.
The Euhomy IM-F’s mold is ready to produce 24 pieces (6 x 4) of ice cubes every 13 minutes. In my tests, the Euhomy IM-F needs about 15 minutes to produce its first batch of ice. You can see the data from the Euhomy IM-FP and Euhomy IM-FM instead for a reference.

- Clear ice
- Clarity is decent, melt a bit faster
We have reviewed the budget Euhomy countertop ice maker, the Euhomy IM-06, and the nugget Euhomy ice maker, the Euhomy IM-12; now we have an Euhomy clear ice maker. The Euhomy IM-F produces clear ice very similar to the Euhomy IM-FP: decent in clarity, but the cubes aren’t perfectly shaped, which causes them to melt faster than average.
Each cube measures approximately 1 inch square, perfect for rocks glasses. It is , just like the ones you get from those big commercial ice machines in restaurants and hotels. Being a fancy appliance to have in your kitchen, I really appreciate that Euhomy dare to challenge the big names to make several clear ice maker units, for example this Euhomy IM-F.
While I find the NewAir’s clear ice cubes with better clarity, the Euhomy IM-F is okay for its price. I mean, the ice quality is nothing fantastic, but it isn’t terrible. However, if you value the core character of clear ice: much slower melt rate, the Euhomy IM-F isn’t your option.

Euhomy IM-F Review: Energy and Water Consumption

I wrote an article of “How much electricity does an ice maker use?” to give you a free calculator to find out whether you are spending more on your ice maker or not. The Euhomy IM-F consumes more electricity for its complex ice production, and its rated power is about 110 watts, nearly the same power wattage of a common nugget ice maker like the Euhomy IM-16.
For water consumption, I again remind you what I wrote in my article “Does an ice maker use a lot of water?” The Euhomy IM-F has an average water consumption, using 15 gallons to produce 100 pounds of ice.

Euhomy IM-F Review: Noise Level
- Produces noise after months of using
Honestly, the Euhomy IM-F ended up on my repair bench because of a noise issue. After leaving the ice maker unused for several months, the owner discovered that it produced an unbearable noise during operation. Concerned it might be a safety risk or even explode, he brought it to me for a quick inspection and fix.
At the moment, the Euhomy IM-F is back to operating normally at around 50 decibels. That’s slightly louder than your average ice maker, but it’s not something I would consider truly “loud.” You can read my article “Are countertop ice makers loud?” for more information.

Euhomy IM-F Review: Features

The Euhomy IM-F is a more expensive countertop ice maker from Euhomy, so it’s not a surprise to have the self-cleaning feature. It is a vital feature for a countertop ice maker, which helps you to clean the internal parts of the ice maker easily.
Beside the common features like a notification to tell you when to add more water or remove ice out, the Euhomy IM-F has a simple feature to adjust the thickness of your ice cube, thus increase/decrease the clarity.
Finally, the Euhomy IM-F includes a built-in timer that lets you schedule when you want your ice ready. It’s a premium feature for a countertop ice maker, though personally, I don’t find it all that necessary for a small appliance like this.

Verdict
The Euhomy IM-F is clearly the most budget clear ice maker you can buy at the moment. It has bad reputation for its durability, because it is the unit in my repair shop, but you’re backed up with a good customer support from Euhomy, so don’t worry.
