About the name… yeah, “Franz Bauer” isn’t what’s on my driver’s license. Here’s the deal: I still work closely with several ice maker brands as a consultant and troubleshooter. If I used my real name while telling you that Brand X’s control board fails after 14 months or Brand Y’s evaporator design is flawed, I’d be in hot water professionally. This way, I can give you the straight talk without burning bridges or getting those awkward calls from manufacturing partners.
